What we collect and why.
What you give us. Your email, and optionally your ZIP code, who delivers your power and water, how you'd prefer to prepay, and your role. We also record the campaign link you arrived from and the page that referred you.
What we don't keep. We don't store your IP address; we keep a one-way hash of it for a day to limit abuse.
Cookies and trackers. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and loads no tracking pixels. The only cookies you may see come from Cloudflare, which hosts the site and runs the bot check on the form; they are strictly necessary and expire quickly. Because we don't track you, there is no cookie banner to click.
Ads measurement. We buy ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to find people who might want the pilot. When you join the waitlist, our server tells Meta that a signup happened so we can see which ads work. That message contains a one-way hash of your email, ZIP code, and state, the click identifier from the ad link if you arrived from one, and your IP address and browser type, which we send but do not store. Meta uses it to match the signup to the ad you clicked; it is not used to show you more ads from us, and we never send your answers about your utilities or budget. If you'd rather we not send it, email us before you sign up, or sign up and ask us to delete you.
Why. To email you about the pilot, to understand where interest is concentrated, and to show partners and funders that demand exists. Counts and percentages may be shared; your email and individual answers will not be sold or shared.
Your choices. Every email has an unsubscribe link. To be removed entirely, write to [email protected] and we'll delete your row.
Where it lives. In a Cloudflare D1 database in the United States, accessible only to Lotic Labs.
